Ubisoft Will Be Announcing New Assassin’s Creed Games Soon

The Assassin’s Creed fans can rejoice because, according to several media reports, Ubisoft Entertainment SA will announce several new games in the Assassin’s Creed franchise. One of these will reportedly be set in feudal Japan.

Assassin’s Creed is a flagship franchise from the French gaming publisher Ubisoft and has been a staple of the gaming world since 2007. The games from this franchise have reportedly sold more than 155 million copies and is overall well-loved in the community. Each title in the series is unique and is set in a different location and historical period, including America during the Revolutionary War and ancient Egypt.

These new titles will probably be announced at the Ubisoft Forward event, which is set to take place on 10th September, 2022. Ubisoft has already teased the idea, stating that they would be giving everyone a peek into the franchise’s future. According to information released by personnel wishing to remain unnamed, the company will showcase two major games and a mobile game.

The first of these games includes a game developed by Ubisoft’s Quebec City office, which is set in Japan and codenamed Red. The second game is produced by the Montreal office, set towards the end of the Holy Roman Empire, and revolves around the witch trials. This game is codenamed either Neo or Hexe.

Neo and Red are a part of a platform called Assassin’s Creed Infinity, which is for the future games in the series containing multiple settings. These games, however, won’t be released any time soon. At the earliest, they will be released in 2024, but they could be delayed.

The Ubisoft forward event is expected to be an exciting one as Ubisoft will also be unveiling more information about these games and Assassin’s Creed Mirage, which was leaked earlier, leading to Ubisoft confirming it before their major event.
